This is a listing of books that can be used for Read Aloud on the Internet. They have a public domain license which
means you can use them without obtaining permission. Due to legislation that was passed in 1998, most of the
content was published before 1924.
Most of the books can be found on the Internet Archive (https://archive.org/details/books), Google Books
(https://books.google.com/), and Project Gutenberg (https://www.gutenberg.org/). Links to Project Gutenberg
are provided.
A lot of the titles are anthologies and will contain multiple stories. For example, you will find the Great Big
Treasury of Beatrix Potter on the list as one item. When you open or download this title you are getting the
following public domain stories:
Please note that on Project Gutenberg the titles also provide links to download epub and Kindle versions of the
book.
