II SUMILLA

La asignatura se enmarca dentro del área de formación general y es de naturaleza


eminentemente práctica y está dirigida a estudiantes que hayan culminado el Inglés I,
con el propósito de lograr en el estudiante la competencia comunicativa en idioma inglés
mediante el desarrollo de las cuatro habilidades lingüísticas: hablar, escuchar, escribir y
leer a un nivel básico de acuerdo al nivel A1.2 del Marco Común Europeo de referencia
para las lenguas. El curso comprende un contenido gramatical, lexical, fonético y socio-
cultural en donde se utiliza diferentes estructuras y tiempos gramaticales, con un
vocabulario contextualizado; así como el desarrollo de las habilidades lingüísticas
comunicativas y de interacción social, correspondiente a un nivel de dominio básico II.
III. OBJETIVOS:
3.1 OBJETIVO GENERAL
Desarrollar la competencia comunicativa a nivel básico mediante el desarrollo de las
cuatro habilidades lingüísticas (hablar, escuchar, escribir y leer) así como de las estructuras
gramaticales y vocabulario propios del nivel A1.2.

3.2 OBJETIVOS ESPECIFICOS

V. METHODOLOGY
5.1. METHODS
The course will be developed through explanatory virtual presentations, using educational
resources such as videos, virtual blogs and appropriate didactic resources such as PPT, PDF
readings and YouTube videos. The teacher will present the contents and guide the learning process
by means of general instructions and appropriate explanations to carry out the virtual learning
sessions.
During the virtual class sessions, the students will ask questions (either in Spanish or English)
in relation to the teacher´s presentation and explanations. The teacher, by different means (chat, e-
mail, WhatsApp) will clarify those questions.

5.2 TECHNIQUES
The academic material will be uploaded to the UNE Platform and shared with the students.
Different techniques will be used for the development of the lessons: Brainstorming, role play, a
little of Spanish (when it is necessary), etc. The use of online dictionaries will also be taught as an
effective cognitive strategy.

VI. DIDACTIC RESOURCES


Teacher´s resources: The teacher will upload the teaching materials in the virtual platform:
power point presentations, pdf readings, YouTube videos, English Module 1, online dictionaries,
etc. They will explain the contents through google meet (or zoom).
Students´ resources: Students will make use of their cell phones/ laptops, English Module 1 y
online dictionaries to follow the learning sessions. They will download the different materials from
the virtual platform and work either in a synchronous or asynchronous way.
