INTRODUCTION

Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and
weight that applies to adult men and women. Despite the fact that BMI is
frequently used as a measurement for body fatness, it really measures
excess weight rather than excess fat, making it an approximate measure of
body fat. Children and teenagers should also be aware of the risks involved
in utilizing BMI for adults. In children, the association between BMI and
body fat is also influenced by other characteristics, such as height and
sexual maturation level. Furthermore, BMI might be more helpful in
forecasting future health than it is in assessing current health. Four
categories were established: underweight, normal, overweight, and obese.
M Our research has demonstrated a relationship between BMI and both
body fat and potential health hazards and how a high BMI indicates future
death and illness. Therefore it is a suitable metric for detecting obesity and
its associated health hazards.
CONCLUSION

In conclusion, We have conducted a statistical analysis to determine the

weight, height, and BMI of each group. Overall, the results provide insight
into the physical characteristics of students in different academic streams,
which can be useful for further research and analysis; BMI is commonly
used to measure body fat, however, it is an approximate measure of
excess weight rather than excess fat. It can be misleading in children and
should be used with caution. High BMI is indicative of obesity and its
associated health risks, which highlights the importance of monitoring and
addressing obesity. BMI can be a useful metric for detecting obesity and its
associated health hazards.
