FESTIVAL

King Hung Temple Festival is a traditional festival which honors the

first King of Vietnam - King Hung. It's an occasion for every
Vietnamese to remember their origin and express the gratitude for
ancestor.

King Hung Temple Festival takes place yearly at Hung Temple in Phu
Tho province from the 8th to 11th day of the third lunar month.

During the festival, there’re lots of folk games like bamboo swings, rice
cooking competitions, lion dance, etc. Besides, “Xoan” and “Ghẹo”
singing are also performed by local residents. Coming to the festival,
tourists can enjoy these unique art performances, which were recognized
by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.

I have experienced King Hung Temple festival many times and I feel it’s
so meaningful. Watching the performances and playing the games is
something that I will never forget and it will always be a good memory
for me.
EXPERIENCE
Two years ago, when I was making summer plans, I wanted to do
something like working with animals. So, I have volunteered at my local
animal shelter and it was probably the best decision I have ever made.
My local animal shelter was always open, and people usually go there to
rescue abandoned animals. We had activities like: Feeding the dogs and
cats, changing their water, cleaning the cages, washing the dishes, doing
laundry,etc. I have bathed them, took them go for a walk, and trained
them to greet people. There was so much fun.
One of the most interesting activities that I have done is teaching dogs
and cats to make them obedient. I remembered teaching a dog called
Black how to sit down with the reward of pieces of food he liked. And
when I came back the next time, another volunteer taught him something
new such as shaking hands, lying down, and rolling around. Black was
such a docile dog.
Finishing my volunteer work, I have learned how to be more patient.
Now I can see the value of giving without expecting anything in return
and it makes me feel happy. I think everyone should experience working
in an animal shelter once.

Britain's Got Talent is the most famous talent show I have ever seen in
TV and it was started by one of the judges of the show named Simon
Cowell. On hearing the name of the show, everyone will know where it
takes place. Britain's Got Talent is held annually in the U.K and people
from any country are eligible to participate in the show.
During the show, participants will show their skills like: singing. Acting,
drawing,… and they need to earn at least 3 ‘yes’ votes from 4 judges in
order to continue joining the competition. In the end of the roud, when
all the participants have performed, their will be a vote for them from
the public. And the person who is in the top of the vote will be the
winner and reach 1 million dolla.
I really love the program as it’s one of the most entertaining shows in
the world. Also, the show is able to attract lots of people from different
backgrounds and nationalities to take part. I can’t wait to watching the
next season of the show on TV
