Human rights are inherent to all human beings, regardless of nationality, race, gender or
other distinguishing factors. They encompass a wide range of civil, political, economic, social
and cultural rights. These includes the right to life, right to freedom of speech, right to
education, right to work and right to be free from any abuse or violence.

But why do we talk about human rights and not human responsibility? Human responsibility
is all about self realization but people aren’t just physical beings, but also moral and spiritual
beings. Therefore, human rights are needed to protect and preserve every individual’s
humanity, to ensure that every individual lives a life of integrity and dignity. It is also easier
to display such rights than rather bearing responsibility on your actions.
