Our Cookie Jar Letters and Sounds activity helps children work on early literacy skills. They will learn uppercase
letters, lowercase letters, and letter-sound correspondence as they match the cookies to the jars. This activity can
be played with different age and ability levels! You can match uppercase letters or lowercase letters to the cookie
jar letters or sounds mats. This activity comes in color or black and white.

Please note that the directions contain affiliate links.

Prep:
Step 1: Print all pages 5-13 in color or pages 14-22 in black and white.

Step 2: Laminate the colored pages and cut out the cookies on pages 11-13. Or color the black and white version,
laminate, and cut out the cookies on pages 20-22.

Directions:
Step 1: Place the cookie jar you would like to complete on the table.
Step 2: For the Cookie Jar Letter mats, match either the cut out uppercase or lowercase cookies to the mat. For
the Cookie Jar Sounds mats, say the name of the picture and listen closely to it’s beginning sound. Match the
cookie to the picture. (i.e. the letter ‘A’ matches the ant picture).
Step 3: Continue to match all of the cut out cookies to the cookie jar until every cookie is in the jar.
