I. INTRODUCTION
I.1. The Logistics Operators
Starting from the objective approach on which the alternatives
are based to increase the production and/or distribution of a
high-quality product or service, which in turn is considered a
competitive advantage, the definition of outsourcing for
logistics operators is born. It is also defined as the contracting
of one business entity to another, to perform the services for
which it was mainly contracted.
A logistics operator is the tool used by the company to direct
the transportation and handling of purchased materials from
the starting point of an origin to the point of arrival.
Regarding its functions, we observe the following:
- Storage services area: It is in charge of carefully selecting
the size, location and characteristics of the warehouse.
- Product process area: These are activities related to the
control, collection and shipment of products.
- Inventory control area: The quantity of products that must be
available for immediate delivery to a potential buyer is
calculated, where the exact delivery date is established.
- Among others.
