Developing Ting

At first it is just taking note. Are there certain sensations that appear that tend to draw your
mind towards them?
Are there certain regions of the body that your mind tends to get pulled to? So is the shape of the
mind tugging towards one of my shoulders perhaps or my hip or my back? Is it difficult to
stabilize my mind in the whole structure because the sensations are pulling me towards a place?
This sort of thing pulls us away from stabilization of our quality of listening. Listen to this
process without getting drawn into it. It’s like you’re casually overhearing a conversation.
Two part process:
I am attempting to use gravity and relaxation to soak the mind through the body and stablilize it
into the form of my structure.
Whilst gently analyzing the fluctuations that are pulling me away from stabilization and see how
they are a feedback loop between the mind, the body and back to the mind. The self generating
delusion of mind taking place within the qi of the body.
The self generating mechanisms of mind are the main influencing factors upon our qi, upon our
body, upon our emotions. If the body does not receive stimulation from the senses, then it will
generate stimulation in this way.
Note: So not only the mind but also the body is seeking stimulation. So the two work together to
create this feedback loop.
