Course/Subject Outline
SCIENCE 10

I. Subject Code: G10- SCI

II. Subject Title: SCIENCE 10
III. Subject Description: Science 10 is a subject offered to grade 10 students. It discusses the volcanoes and
earthquakes and ways to ensure safety and reduce damage during volcanic eruption, earthquake and tsunamis,
how energy is harnessed for human use, the excretory and reproductive system, structure and function of DNA
molecules, how natural selection has produced a succession of diverse new species, adaptation and survival in
changing environments of species, impact of human activities on ecosystem, rearrangement of particle when
substances undergo chemical reaction and solve simple mole-mole, mole-mass, and mass-mass problems.
