1. Don’t underestimate your potential !
Never stereotype yourself,
or let others stereotype you …

You are only 1% what you are born with,

The other 99% is upto you !

Your brain can change, you can change,

So don’t limit yourself, or give up !
2. Prioritise, prioritise, prioritise … !
excellence, and expertise, require a lot of
time, and effort … 10,000 hours, 10 years !

Choose a few passions and goals, don’t be a

“jack of all trades, master of none” !

Be prepared, and willing, to sacrifice some

other goals, and other short term pleasures !
3. plan, and track, progress !
Create a formal/informal plan, with goals, sub-
goals, and milestones, that you can measure !

measure, and track, your progress, so you

clearly know, when you are on, and off track !

When your plan goes off track, try and get it

back on track, as soon as possible !
4. Feedback, coaching, and/or mentoring !
Practicing, by yourself, will not help beyond a
point, you need someone to give you feedback !

The coach/mentor should ideally be an expert,

who has coached/mentored others well !

Informal feedback works too, if the provider

holds you accountable, and is candid !
5. BE GRITTY !
WE CAN CHANGE, IMPROVE, AND DEVELOP OURSELVES,
SO NO FAILURE IS THAT BIG A DEAL !

FAILURES ARE JUST STEPPING STONES TO SUCCESS …

THEY HELP US KNOW OUR AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT !

THERE IS ALSO AN ELEMENT OF LUCK INVOLVED, SO JUST

LEARN, AND IMPROVE, AND MOVE ON … !
6. Be AGILE and ADAPTABLE !
not everything in life goes according to plan,
circumstances often change !

find new goals, find ways to use the same skills

in new ways, and add new skills !

change happens, it is not the end of the world …

be agile … accept, adapt, and move on !
7. Keep your body healthy, and your mind active !
regular exercise, and nutritious food, help
your brain’s neuroplasticity !

keep your mind active, always … learn a new

creative skill, try something new, solve puzzles !

research a new subject, adopt a different point

of view … its never too late to change !
