STANDARD ROTA-LION DRESS CODE

MALE:
[A] CORPERATE DRESSING
RECOMMENDED EXCEPTIONS
 Heeled Cover shoe with lace  No bangles
 Long socks  No rings of any kind except married
 Plain trousers  No dangling ear rings
 Pin buckled leather belt and should be  No face cap
same Colour with shoes
 Plain shirts or patterned shirts  No bow tie except on dinner outings
 Long tie [plain tie to patterned shirts  No vintage or Ankara ties
and patterned tie to plain shirts]. The tip
of the tie is to be at your belt buckle
level
 Leather wristwatch  No bishop collar shirt
 Nerd glasses if need be  No chinos trouser
 Tie clip to be placed after second button  No short sleeve shirts
or before third button
 White handkerchief, a biro, a jotter  No ankle socks

 A suit dressing can go  No dark shades


 Any inner suit jacket can go
 Rota Lion membership pin and any
other Rotaract or Rotary pins

[B] TRADITIONAL DRESS


RECOMMENDED EXCEPTIONS
 Nicely sewn traditional material is okay  No bathroom slippers
with a plain trouser
 Any good senator is fine
 Any nice foot wear except canvas
 You can represent any local or global
culture with your dressing
 any wrist watch can go
 You must be on a cap that goes with
your attire except face cap
 If you are representing Igbo culture, you
must be on beads either on your neck or
hand or both
 You must wear socks when you are
wearing a corporate shoe
 Rota Lion membership pin and any
other Rotaract or Rotary Pin

[C] FORMAL DRESSING


You dress either strictly formal or strictly cooperate

[D] CASUAL DRESSING


 You wear anything that gives you comfort except plain trouser, traditional wear and tie.
 Jeans and polo is okay but indecently ripped jeans are not allowed.

NOTE: Whatever the dress code is, you are to dress decently and no usage of Rotaract pin
on any non-ceremonial attire

FEMALE:

[A] CORPERATE DRESSING

RECOMMENDED EXCEPTIONS
 Heeled or flat cover shoes  No body con dress or tightly fitted
dresses
 Plain skirt, straight cut or pencil  No front slit
 Plain palazzo trouser, not multi  No rings except married, no bangles,
coloured no chokers, no anklet
 Plain trouser  No dark shades
 Turtle neck is to go with blazers or  Anything you are wearing should be
suit jacket on your knees or below your knees
 Corperate shirts with buttons either  No off shoulder wears
long or short sleeve can go
 Long sleeve shirts without buttons can  No Kim Kardashian jacket

 Sleeve shirt should go with a plain  No exposure of cleavages

 Belt on trouser or skirt with a belt hole  No rubber skirts

 Represent a culture  No canvas
 Use bead if you are representing Igbo  No bathroom slippers
 Ankara top with plain skirt/trouser can  No fitted trouser

 Ankara gown can go  No leisure footwear
 Any foot wear that match your attire
 Any wristwatch
 Rota Lion membership pin and any
other Rotaract or Rotary pin

[C] FORMAL DRESSING


You dress either strictly cooperate or strictly formal

[D] CASUAL WEAR


 You wear anything that gives you comfort except bum short, plain trouser or plain skirt,
traditional wear.
 Jeans and polo is okay but indecently ripped jeans are not allowed.
