PENGLIBATAN DIRI PENERAJU KOMUNITI
Bahagian A
Program Food Bank Malaysia (PFBM) telah diperkenalkan sebagai salah satu inisiatif
peduli rakyat. Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna
(KPDNHEP) membantu golongan kurang berkemampuan untuk mendapatkan
makanan. Konsep program ini adalah untuk menyelamatkan lebihan makanan yang
masih boleh dimakan melalui pengumpulan daripada penyumbang iaitu pasaraya,
pengilang, pengusaha makanan, hotel dan syarikat korporat. Makanan yang telah
dikumpul kemudiannya akan diagihkan kepada kumpulan sasaran yang telah
dikenalpasti daripada keluarga miskin dan kurang upaya, rumah-rumah kebajikan,
pusat bantuan makanan, Badan Bukan Kerajaan (NGO) serta pelajar-pelajar
universiti yang kurang berkemampuan.
