How To Make Series Circuit

Purpose ( Billy ):

Purpose from this procedure text is to construct a series circuit. After this experiment, you will be able
to construct your own series circuit and understanding advantages and disadvantadges of using a series
circuit.

Required materials ( Ridhan) :

 2 Batteries cells AA
 1 Battery compartments
 1 meter of copper wire
 2 flashlight bulbs with sockets
  Electrical tape
 Switch
 Scissors/ cutter/ pliers

Step – By – Step Procedure (Reifan step 1-3, Mouna step 4-5) :

1. First, cut the copper wire into 4 parts

2. Second, Remove half a centimeter of insulation from both ends of the cable using scissors

3. Third, Attach the wire to the positive side of the battery and wrap the other end around the left side of one of
the light bulbs closest to the battery.

4. Then, Attach another cable to the negative side of the battery and connect it to the switch

5. Finally, Take another wire and connect the switch to the right side of one of the light bulbs near the switch

Note( Zakira) :

Do not play with the light bulbs since they are easily broken. Secure your connections with electrical
tapes. When removing insulations, do it slowly and carefully to avoid damaging the wires.

Result (Allisa) :

The process of makig a series circuit is quite easy because of its simple shape and cost-effectve. But, on
series circuit if one component is damaged, then all components will die or not work. When several
lights are not the same bright. The use of electricity is not efficient because of the large total circuit
resistance.
