High Spirits
Mid-Tone A Minor
Fingerings
This document provides fingerings charts for a wide variety of scales. The fingerings are
specific to High Spirits Mid-Tone A minor Native American flutes.
This list of 66 scales is meant to be a tool for exploration of scales from various world music
traditions. Most players of Native American flutes use a very small number of alternate
scales, so please do not feel compelled to learn the full set of scales provided.
The primary reference for the scales in this collection is the Scala application by Manuel Op
de Coul, dated August 10, 2014. It is available at http://www.huygens-fokker.org/scala/.
