Minimum, Maximum, Average, and Peak Readings “To begin a session, rst select the desire function using the rotary select swith 2. Press the MIN/MAX button once, The MIN con will appear on the cisplay and the rater wil begin keeping track ofthe lowest, highest, average, and peak readings, 3. Pressing the MIN/MAX key repeatedly scrolls through the MIN (mini), MAX. (mmaxamum), AVG (average), and PEAK (peak capture) readings since tho ‘measurement session began. The meter will contre to monitor the session keeping track ofthe minimum, maximum, tc unl the session fs Mae. 4, To oxitthe measurement session and return the meter to normal operation, press. and hold the MINIMAX key for 2-8 seconds unt te audible tone sounds. Note: Peak Hold is only avaliable for Current and Voltage functions, MINIMAX/AVG ‘unetons do nat apply fo COS and KVA parameters. Relative Mode This meter has to ability to store a reference value so that measurements can be displayed relative tothe reference value, To store a reference value and use the relate mode Press the REL key when the desired reference value is onthe display, the ‘riangulr relative symbol wil appear onthe LCD. 2 Allsubsequent measurements wll be displayed relative to the reference value ‘exam, i 100 is dsplayed atthe tme ofthe REL key-press and the next ‘measurement is 105, the LCD will read 5 (105 - 1008). 3. Toexithe Relative mode, press and hold the REL key for 2-3 second until he aulole tone sounds. Datatogging and the RS-232 PC Interface This meter has the ability to store 1600 measurements. Stored data can be transfered from ‘he meter to a PC using the optional PC Interface it (382062). Data can then be exported to and manipulated in spreadsheet, word processor, or graphical sofware programs. The PC Interface kt also permits the user to operate the meter remotely from the PC. Instructions for ‘he RS-232 PC Interface are included wih the ki. The folowing steps detall how to record ta 1. To start recording data, press the RECORD key (RECORD will appear on the LCD); the meter will bogin recording data one reading por second. Noto: Using the ‘optional Data Acquistion software, tne sample rale is adjustable, To stop recording, press the RECORD key again. 2. When the meter’s memory i ful, the RECORD display icon wil fash 3. To delete data from the mete’s memory hold the RECORD button while powering Up the meter. Do nat release the RECORD bution untl tne CLEP display appears, Note: Press the RECORD key ta stop recording before shutting dawn the mater. Powering off the meter before pressing the RECORD key o slap recardng prohibits the atalogger from marking the address ofthe lat data record. The datalogger updates the Taat record address every 100 records. Appendices ‘True RMS Measurement Notes “The Model 382060 is a True RMS responding device that can corecly measure non- sinusoidal waveforms such as tiangle, square, and distorted sine waves. ‘Conventional average-sensing meters convert the measurement signal into an average value {and then mulily the average by 1.1. the measurement signal is anything but a tue sine Wave the reading wil bs Incorrect ‘Single Phase, 3-Wire Measurements ‘To perform this test, two separate measurements are required: Wisc and Wizs fer to the diagram below). Measure Wire first (stops 1-6). L1/L2IG musl be correctly identified. 1. Sot the rotary function switch to the KW range. 2.
