•Poetry

- The Odyssey

One of the oldest and most well-known epic poems is Homer’s The Odyssey. The epic is a
prime example of poetry that uses poetic language to convey a narrative. The brave (but cursed)
Odysseus and his companions battle monsters, outsmart witches, and eventually find their way
home to his wife, who is waiting for them.

• Fiction

- To kill a mockingbird

To Kill a Mockingbird explores how good and evil may coexist inside a single community or
individual while also telling the story of a young girl coming of age and a darker drama about
the causes and effects of racism and prejudice. Scout receives a dual moral education that
teaches him to both eschew vilifying people and to stick with his moral principles even when
they are inexorably and occasionally violently challenged. The novel has drawn criticism for its
propensity to preach as well as acclaim for its originality and aesthetic brilliance.

• Non-Fiction

- In cold blood

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote is debatable in terms of its main theme. The work’s literary
brilliance and wealth of information enable a wide range of interpretations to be made of it.
According to one reading, the purpose of In Cold Blood is to deceive dogmatic American
readers who think the American Dream is achievable and morally inviolable. What leads to
crime and how it is punished, as well as how society responds to it, are the main topics of In
Cold Blood. The essence of evil plays a significant supporting role in In Cold Blood.
