Luke Rockwell Arrest in Thailand

Luke Rockwell, an American Teacher, TikTok star, a resident of Florida was arrested last week
near Phra Khanong Canal in Thailand because of having sex with his 16-year-old, fan girl from
social media. According to Thai police department statement, Mr. Luke Rockwell also infected
with STDs onto that girl while teaching English in some private rooms in Christian School in
Bangkok.

Luke has at least 1.3 million followers on TikTok. After his arrest, he set his account to private.,
Luke was reportedly made contact with a 16-year-old schoolgirl via social media before
engaging in sex with her "on numerous occasions," recording it, and advising her to "keep it a
secret." According to the mother of the young girl, Rockwell, who goes by Teacher Luke on his
TikToks, exposed her to the disease and gonorrhea, which led to the young girl developing
abdominal pains last month.

The girl’s mother said, “My daughter had been texting Teacher Luke on my phone for months.
After their conversation, she deleted the messages. When my daughter appeared to be very ill, I
knew something was wrong. She had a pale appearance and was gripping her stomach while
whining about the pain there. I persisted in probing her until she divulged the identity of Teacher
Luke. My daughter said that Teacher Luke used protection the first time they had sex, but that he
stopped doing so later. She believed him. She was instructed to keep everything a secret until she
turned 18 by teacher Luke. He declared his love for my daughter to her and she would let her
come live with him.”

The age of consent in Thailand is 15, but it is illegal to "take away" a person who is over 15 but
under 18 and engage in “indecent acts” with them outside of marriage, even if they have given
their consent. The maximum punishment for the crime is five years in prison and a fine of 10,000
baht ($280).
The Crime Suppression Division's Lieutenant General Thitsit Sangsawan confirmed Rockwell's
arrest and the allegations against him. Authorities continue to investigate the case in an effort to
compile all pertinent data and testimony.
