SSC CGL Syllabus 2023 for the Tier 1 includes 4 subjects - Reasoning, General awareness, English, and Quantitative Aptitude. On the other
hand, SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam has 3 papers - Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. The candidate who qualifies the SSC CGL Paper 1, is called for the Tier
2 exam.
SSC CGL Syllabus is released by the Staff Selection Commission. As per the latest notification, the SSC CGL Syllabus and exam pattern have
been revised. As per the SSC CGL new exam pattern, there are only 2 tiers - Tier 1 and Tier 2. The detailed exam pattern and syllabus for SSC
CGL Exam have been discussed below with subject-wise weightage and recommended books to prepare for and clear the exam.

There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and of 0.50
marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2023: Module I of Section II of Paper 1 - English Language & Comprehension
The questions of this section will be based on the basics of the English Language and Comprehension. To test comprehension, three or more
paragraphs will be given and questions based on those will be asked. At least one paragraph should be a simple one based on a book or a story
and the other two paragraphs should be on current affairs, based on a report or an editorial.
