SSC CGL Syllabus 2023 for the Tier 1 includes 4 subjects - Reasoning, General awareness, English, and Quantitative Aptitude. On the other
hand, SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam has 3 papers - Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. The candidate who qualifies the SSC CGL Paper 1, is called for the Tier
2 exam.

SSC CGL Syllabus is released by the Staff Selection Commission. As per the latest notification, the SSC CGL Syllabus and exam pattern have
been revised. As per the SSC CGL new exam pattern, there are only 2 tiers - Tier 1 and Tier 2. The detailed exam pattern and syllabus for SSC

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2023


SSC CGL Tier 1 will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions.
The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension.
There will be a negative marking of 0.50 (¼) for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus


After the preliminary exam has been conducted, it will be necessary to gear up for the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam. The SSC CGL Mains Exam will be
conducted online. It is an objective multiple-choice exam, except for Module II (Data Entry Speed Test) of Section III of Paper-I. Candidates can

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern


SSC CGL Tier 2 will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions except for DEST Test. Candidates eligible for scribe will get an extra 20
minutes for 1 hour time.

Paper 1 is compulsory for all posts.


Paper 2 is for only JSO Post.
Paper 3 is for only Assistant Account Officer and Assistant Audit officer.

There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and of 0.50
marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.
