BACKGROUND
1. Good Housekeeping is the beginning of efforts to prevent work accidents, bad
Housekeeping is one of the causes of work accidents.
2. Housekeeping has not been done consistently.
3. Housekeeping is still considered to be about garbage/cleanliness alone, much more
important is about setting up material layouts, providing access, as well as the boundaries
of hazardous areas.
4. Housekeeping issues have always been a finding in the HSSE MWT/Joint Inspection/Audit.
5. Good Housekeeping is an integral part of construction activities, so an active role of area
supervisors is needed.
6. Realizing Good Housekeeping is the responsibility of all Departement at the RDMP Project

• Distinguish between necessary and unnecessary items. Remove the latter.

5S Methodology

• Set in Order (Seiton) (Rapih)

5S • Enforce the dictum “a place for everything and everything in its place”
• Terapkan diktum "tempat untuk segala sesuatu dan segala sesuatu di tempatnya"

• Shine (Seiso) (Resik)

• Clean up the workplace and look for ways to keep it clean
• Bersihkan tempat kerja dan cari cara untuk menjaganya tetap bersih

• Standardize (Seiketsu) (Rawat)

• Maintain and monitor adherence to the first 3S
• Pertahankan dan pantau kepatuhan terhadap 3S pertama

• Sustain (Shitsuke) (Rajin)

• Follow the rules to keep the workplace 5R-right. Hold the gain.
• Ikuti aturan untuk menjaga tempat kerja tetap 5R dengan benar. Rasakan manfaatnya
