Japanese Planes were whooshing through the sky destroying everything on their way.

All the
women and children were forced out of their homes into bunkers. Pearl Harbor was under
attack. Our defense systems were destroyed by missiles. Only some planes managed to take off
to defend. I was shooting down the planes from ground with a gun. The sound of gunshots and
bombings frightened the children. It was chaos.

The whole area was destroyed and obliterated. The pilots of the planes showed no mercy. They
attacked hospitals and everything within their sight. A lot of men were screaming in pain and
dying. There was nothing I could do to help except to take cover behind the sacks of sand and
shoot down the enemy planes. Then, everything went quiet for a while. They stopped for some
reason. I took advantage of this and quickly ran to one of the bunkers. Thankfully I made it in
time. The sound of children crying roamed through the entire place.

The Japans wouldn’t stop attacking. They want no one left alive. We had to do something to
escape. In the bunker were some shovels. We thought of digging out, but the bunker was
surrounded by rock. We thought we were all going to die. There was no way to escape without
dying.

We had to surrender even if we didn’t want to. We took a white shirt and slowly opened the
bunker door. We carefully raised the white shirt and waved it in the air. Gunshots suddenly
stopped. We thought they accepted our surrender but once we got out, they tried to shoot us.
We all rushed back in and locked the door.

We didn’t know how we were going to survive. Some people were crying while some people
were praying. It was really hot at the same time. The smell of sweat from everyone roamed
through the bunker. There was no service to call for help. All we could do was wait until help
arrives. But that moment could never come.
