2 Preparation Requirements for the Site of the


IDU

About This Chapter

The IDU is an indoor unit of the OptiX RTN 910 Radio Transmission System. It performs the
functions such as service accessing, multiplexing, intermediate frequency (IF) processing,
system communication and control. To ensure easy installation and normal operation of the IDU,
the customer needs to make proper preparations according to the requirements of the IDU.

2.1 Space Requirements of Installing the IDU


The IDU can be installed in a cabinet, on the wall, or on a desk. Proper space is required in each
installation mode.
2.2 Cabinet Installation Requirements
Huawei can provide the cabinet that is used for housing the IDU. If the customer purchases the
cabinet, a proper space needs to be reserved in the telecommunications room.
2.3 Power Supply Requirements
To ensure stable operation of the IDU, the customer needs to obtain the power system that meets
the requirements.
2.4 Lightening Protection and Grounding Requirements
If the telecommunications room is installed with certain indoor communication equipment such
as the IDU, a complete ground system needs to be made available in the telecommunications
room.
2.5 Requirements for the Accessory Equipment
According to the service type of the equipment, the customer needs to provide certain accessory
equipment that meets the requirements, for example, the digital distribution frame (DDF), fiber
distribution box or optical distribution frame (ODF), and cable routing facilities.
2.6 Requirements for the Environment of the Telecommunications Room
The telecommunications room should meet the requirements for the environment in which the
equipment operates. The operating environment of the IDU should comply with the ETSI EN
300 019-1-3 class 3.2 standard.

standards.

2.1 Space Requirements of Installing the IDU


The IDU can be installed in a cabinet, on the wall, or on a desk. Proper space is required in each
installation mode.

Dimensions of the IDU


Dimensions of the RTN 910 IDU: 442 mm x 220 mm x 44 mm (width x depth x height)

Space Requirements for Installing the IDU in a Cabinet


The IDU can be installed in any of the following cabinets:

l ETSI 300 mm depth cabinet


l ETSI 600 mm depth cabinet
l 19-inch open cabinet
l 19-inch 450 mm depth cabinet
l 19-inch 600 mm depth cabinet

If the RTN 910 IDU is installed in a cabinet, the space requirements are shown in Figure 2-1.
l A 1 U space is required for the IDU.
l A minimum of 25 mm space should be reserved on the left and right sides of the IDU for
ventilation.
l A minimum of 66.5 mm space should be reserved in front of the front panel for cable
routing.

Space Requirements for Installing the IDU on the Wall


If the RTN 910 IDU is installed on the wall, the space requirements are shown in Figure 2-2.
l A minimum of 50 mm should be reserved on the up and down sides of the IDU 610 for
ventilation.
l A minimum of 800 mm space should be reserved in front of the front panel for cable routing.

Space Requirements for Installing the IDU on a Desk


The space requirements for installing the IDU on a desk are the same as the space requirements
for installing the IDU in a cabinet.

2.2 Cabinet Installation Requirements


Huawei can provide the cabinet that is used for housing the IDU. If the customer purchases the
cabinet, a proper space needs to be reserved in the telecommunications room.
Huawei can provide the following types of cabinets for the customer:
l T63 cabinet (height x width x depth: 2000 mm x 600 mm x 300 mm)
l T63 cabinet (height x width x depth: 2200 mm x 600 mm x 300 mm)
l T63 cabinet (height x width x depth: 2600 mm x 600 mm x 300 mm)
l 19-inch open cabinet (height x width x depth: 2000 mm x 600 mm x 600 mm)
l 19-inch open cabinet (height x width x depth: 2200 mm x 600 mm x 600 mm)
NOTE

The T63 cabinet is a type of ETSI cabinet.

The space requirements for installing the cabinet are as follows:


l The rear and side parts of the cabinet can be installed close to the wall.
l A space of not less than 200 mm height should be reserved above the cabinet.
l A minimum of 800 mm width space should be reserved in front of the cabinet for
maintenance.
If multiple cabinets are installed in a telecommunications room, the common cabinet layout is
shown in Figure 2-3.

2.3 Power Supply Requirements


To ensure stable operation of the IDU, the customer needs to obtain the power system that meets
the requirements.

The input power of the IDU is the DC power. Table 2-1 lists the requirements for the input
power of the IDU.

NOTE

l The customer can compute the capacity of the fuse according to the actual power consumption. The
formula is (Total power consumption x 1.5)/(Rated power supply x 87.5%).
l If the IDU is installed in a cabinet, the customer can purchase the DC power distribution unit (PDU)
from Huawei. This PDU inputs two channels of -48 V/ -60 V power supply and outputs eight channels
of 20 A -48 V/ -60 V power supply.
l If the customer can obtain only +24 V DC power or 110 V/220 V AC power, the customer can purchase
the power module from Huawei. For the relevant information, consult Huawei engineers.

The general requirements of the DC power system are as follows:

l The capacity of the power system should be designed in full consideration of the maximum
load of the system in the dynamic and static situations. In addition, certain margin should
be reserved.
l The primary power supply and the storage battery should be of hot backup to ensure that
the equipment can work normally in the case of power failure.
l The power equipment should be placed close to the communication equipment, hence
minimizing the length of the DC feeder cable.
l The DC power cable should be routed from the DC PDU or the DC cable distribution box.
The cable diameter should meet the design requirement.
l The working ground of the DC power supply should be connected directly to the protection
ground in the telecommunications room. The diameter of the protection grounding cable
should meet the design requirement.
l The fuse for limiting the current from the DC PDU (or the DC cable distribution box) and
the primary power supply should meet the operating requirements of the equipment.

The AC power system is required at the maintenance terminal and in the engineering
implementation work. Therefore, the AC power supply in the telecommunications room should
be made available before the work. If the equipment is not installed with the network
management system (NMS), the mains power can meet the requirement of the engineering
implementation. Otherwise, the facilities such as the uninterruptible power system (UPS) should
be made available according to the requirement of the NMS.

2.4 Lightening Protection and Grounding Requirements


If the telecommunications room is installed with certain indoor communication equipment such
as the IDU, a complete ground system needs to be made available in the telecommunications
room.
The requirements for the ground system in the telecommunications room are as follows:
l The telecommunications room needs to be installed with certain lightning-proof devices
such as lightning arrestor and lightning band.
l The telecommunications room needs to be jointly grounded. The working ground and the
protection ground of the equipment need to share the same ground with the lightning-proof
ground. The communication equipment and the power supply facility in the
telecommunications room need to use the same protection ground bar if possible.
l The grounding resistance needs to be less than 10 ohms.
l The cross-sectional area of the PGND cable from the equipment to the ground bar needs
to be not less than 6 mm2.
When installing an IDU indoors, adhere to the following requirements:
l When installing an IDU in a transmission cabinet, you need to connect the IDU to the
ground bar of the transmission equipment through a separate ground cable, which needs to
be a multiple-wire copper conductor cable with a cross-sectional area of not less than 6
mm2.
l When installing an IDU separately (on a desk or on a wall), connect the IDU to the ground
bar in the telecommunications room through a multiple-wire copper conductor cable with
a cross-sectional area of not less than 6 mm2. The ground cable cannot be longer than five
meters.
Figure 2-4 shows the ground connections of installing an IDU indoors.

When installing an IDU in an outdoor cabinet, adhere to the following requirements:


l An IDU needs to be connected to the ground bar in the outdoor cabinet through a separate
ground cable, which needs to be a multiple-wire copper conductor cable with a cross-
sectional area of not less than 6 mm2.
l If two or more outdoor cabinets are connected to each other through signal cables (except
the situation where only optical fibers are available), you need to add a lightning-protection
unit to the electrical interface of the signals transmitted from the cabinets.
1. The cable between two cabinets is longer than five meters.
2. The cable between two cabinets is shorter than five meters, no equipotential cable
between cabinets exists, and the ground cable of a cabinet is longer than five meters.
3. The cable between two cabinets is shorter than five meters, the interconnected cabinets
do not share a ground bar, and no equipotential cable between cabinets exists.

2.5 Requirements for the Accessory Equipment


According to the service type of the equipment, the customer needs to provide certain accessory
equipment that meets the requirements, for example, the digital distribution frame (DDF), fiber
distribution box or optical distribution frame (ODF), and cable routing facilities.

DDF
If the IDU accesses the services through cables, the DDF needs to be installed in the
telecommunications room. The requirements for the DDF are as follows:

l The DDF should meet the relevant national and international standards.
l The capacity of the DDF should meet the requirement of the current project capacity and
planed long-term capacity.
l The connector of the DDF should be determined after consultation with Huawei engineers
to ensure that the type of the delivered IF cable matches the connector of the DDF.
l The DDF should be connected to the protection grounding bar through a copper wire whose
sectional area is not less than 6 mm2.
NOTE

If both the IDU and the service equipment are installed in a 19-inch cabinet, the customer can purchase the E1
panel from Huawei. The E1 panel provides 16 75-ohm E1 cables for the IDU.

Fiber Distribution Box or ODF


If the IDU accesses the services through fibers, the fiber distribution box or ODF needs to be
installed in the telecommunications room. The capacity of the fiber distribution box or ODF
should meet the requirement of the current project capacity and planned long-term capacity.

Cable Routing Facilities


According to the environment of the telecommunications room, the cables can be routed in two
methods: overhead cabling and underfloor cabling.

The underfloor cabling method is applicable to the telecommunications room where an antistatic
floor is laid. In the case of underfloor cabling method, take certain measures such as moisture-
proof, rodent-proof, and fireproof measures for the groove or trough where cables are laid.

The overhead cabling method is applicable to the telecommunications room where no antistatic
floor is laid. In the case of the overhead cabling method, cable routing facilities such as cable
rack and upward cable ladder should be made available.

NOTE

The customer needs to work with Huawei engineers to plan the cable route of the IDU and to compute the cable
length.

2.6 Requirements for the Environment of the


Telecommunications Room
The telecommunications room should meet the requirements for the environment in which the
equipment operates. The operating environment of the IDU should comply with the ETSI EN
300 019-1-3 class 3.2 standard.

Requirements for the Protection Against Electrostatic and Electromagnetic


Interferences
l The telecommunications room should be equipped with the antistatic floor or antistatic
ground and should be grounded properly.
l The telecommunications room should be equipped with antistatic uniforms and antistatic
wrist straps.
l The telecommunications room should be far away from electromagnetic interferences. The
electric field strength cannot be more than 300 mV/m, and the electromagnetic field strength
cannot be more than 11 GS.

Dust-Proof Requirements
The density of the dusts whose diameter is more than 5 micrometer is less than 3x104 g/m3. The
dusts are non-electric-conductive, non-magnetizable, and noncorrosive.

Generally, the following dust-proof measures should be taken:

l The windows are sealed with two-layer glass, and the doors are equipped with dust-proof
sealing bars.
l The slippers and uniforms should be always clean.
l The control room and the switching telecommunications room should be separated from
each other by an fused glass wall to prevent people from frequently getting into or out from
the switching telecommunications room.
l The relevant humidity in the telecommunications room should be properly high within the
allowable range to minimize electrostatic absorption of the dusts.

Requirements for the Ambient Temperature and Relevant Humidity


The IDU requires that the ambient temperature range from -5oC to +55oC and the relevant
humidity range from 5% to 95%.
The telecommunications room should be equipped with air conditioners to meet the preceding
requirements. The settings of the air conditioners are as follows:

l Temperature: 18oC to 28oC (generally, the temperature is set to a range from 20oC to
25oC)
l Humidity: 30% to 75% (generally, the humidity is set to a range from 50% to 60%)

Lighting Requirements
l The telecommunications room should not be exposed to direct sunshine to prevent certain
components such as circuit boards from being aged or deformed due to long-term
irradiation.
l The average illumination is 150-200LX and free of dazzling light. Generally, fluorescent
lamps should be installed on the ceiling.
l The telecommunications room should be installed with emergency floodlights.

Requirements for the Atmospheric Pressure


The atmospheric pressure in the telecommunications room should range from 70 kPa to 106
kPa.

Requirements for Air Cleanness


l The equipment should not be exposed in the corrosive gases such as sulfureted hydrogen
(namely, the oxide of sulfur dioxide and ammonia) or smog (oil solvent and soot).
l Smoking is forbidden in the telecommunications room.

Safety Requirements
l The equipment must be equipped with proper fire fighting devices and materials.
l The plugs and sockets with different voltages in the telecommunications room should be
marked with distinguishing flags.
l Dangerous materials such as flammable and explosive materials are forbidden in the
telecommunications room.
l The holes reserved at the top of the floor should be equipped with safety covers.

2.7 Requirements for the Construction of the


Telecommunications Room
The construction of the telecommunications room should comply with the relevant local
standards.
The main requirements are as follows:
l The civil engineering in the places such as the telecommunications room and corridor
should be completed and the indoor walls should be completely dry.

l The ground load of the telecommunications room should not be less than 450 Kg/m3.
l The minimum indoor height (net height below the beam or ventilation pipe) should be not
less than three meters.
l The size of the main doors in the telecommunications room should meet the requirement
for moving the equipment. All the locks and keys are available.
l The ventilation equipment is installed in the telecommunications room.
l The ceiling, walls, doors, windows, and grounds of the telecommunications room are
sturdy, do not generate or accumulate dust, and can prevent dust and sand from entering.
l The ceiling does not have leaky water and dust. The decorative materials should be
nonflammable or fire-resistant.
l Moisture-proof measures should be taken for all the grooves and troughs. The side angles
should be flat. In addition, the ground and cover should be seamless.
l The lighting and electrical pipes should be laid in a hidden manner.
l If an antistatic elevated floor is available in the telecommunications room, the antistatic
elevated floor should meet the following requirements:
– The height of the elevated floor should range from 300 mm to 450 mm.
– The impedance should meet the relevant standard.
– The floor boards must be laid tightly and firmly. In the case of each square meter of
floor space, the horizontal tolerance cannot be greater than 2 mm.
– In the case of the antistatic floor or the floor covered with semi-conductive material,
certain copper foil should be used to ground the floor at several points (the copper foil
is press-adhered between the cement floor and semi-conductive floor, and is connected
to the grounding wire).
l If no elevated floor is available in the telecommunications room, an electrostatic conductive
floor should be laid. The conductive floor should meet the following requirements:
– The volume resistivity should range from 1.0 x 107 to 1.0 x 1010 ohms.
– The electrostatic conductive floor must be grounded for electrostatic discharge.
– All the cable routing holes on the ground must be covered.
l The floor of the telecommunications room must be flat, tidy, and clean. The number,
position, and size of the reserved hidden pipes, ground grooves, and holes should all meet
the requirements of the technological design.
l The seismic fortification intensity of the telecommunications room should meet the
following requirements:
– The main buildings of the telecommunications room should be designed with the basic
degree plus one degree.
– When the equipment is installed, certain seismic fortification enhancement measures
should be taken according to the local basic design degree.
l Generally, the floor of the telecommunications room is not decorated with pattern materials.
The wall surfaces and ceiling must be in bright, light, and elegant color.
l The lightning-proof design of the equipment should meet the local regulations or rules for
the telecommunications room.

3 Preparation Requirements for the Site of the


ODU

About This Chapter

The ODU is an outdoor unit of the OptiX RTN 910 Radio Transmission System. The ODU
provides the functions such as frequency change and power amplification of the radio frequency
signals. To ensure easy installation and normal operation of the ODU, you need to make proper
preparations according to the relevant requirements.

3.1 Requirements for the Tower


The ODU and antenna are generally installed on various communication towers. The towers
provided by the customer should meet the relevant standards and requirements.
3.2 Requirements for Installing the Antenna Support
All the antennas are installed on the tower through the support that meets the requirements for
installing the antennas.
3.3 Requirements for the Antenna
Generally, the antenna is delivered with the equipment. If the antenna is provided by the
customer, the antenna must meet certain requirements.
3.4 Lightening Protection and Grounding Requirements
To prevent the communication equipment from being damaged by lightning strikes, the customer
needs to provide a lightning protection and ground system that meets the requirements.
3.5 Requirements for the Accessory Equipment
The customer needs to provide the outdoor cable rack, feeder window, and outdoor grounding
bar that meet the requirements.
3.6 Outdoor Environment Requirements
The outdoor environment should meet the requirements for the operating environment of the
ODU.

3.1 Requirements for the Tower


The ODU and antenna are generally installed on various communication towers. The towers
provided by the customer should meet the relevant standards and requirements.
The relevant requirements are as follows:
l The height of the tower is determined according to the actual requirements of the microwave
station.
l The tower is mounted with multiple layers of antenna according to the requirements of the
customer. The maintenance plane is under the antenna and is of 1 m in width. The external
guard bar is of 1.1 m in height. The antenna can be extended to outside of the plane. The
lower edge of the antenna is not less than 0.3 m higher than the guard bar of the plane.
l The top of the tower should be installed with a lightning-proof rod that meets the lightning-
proof design requirements.
l The turning angle of the microwave antenna and the flexible angle of the tower should not
be more than one-third of the angle when the power of the antenna is half.
l In the case of an earthquake event (the seismic fortification intensity is designed with the
basic degree plus one degree), the tower should not be permanently deformed to affect the
communication.
l There should be a wiring bridge for the IF cable on the tower.
l The tower should be designed with a ladder for maintenance.

3.2 Requirements for Installing the Antenna Support


All the antennas are installed on the tower through the support that meets the requirements for
installing the antennas.
The support consists of the arm, pole, and fixing U-type latch. It can be installed on the tower
with a slope angle ranging from 0 degrees to 4 degrees.

0.9 m.
– If the 1.2 m antenna is installed, the length of the pole needs to be not less than 1.2 m.
(In the case of the RFS 1.2 m single-polarized splitting antenna and dual-polarized
antenna, a 2.0 m pole is required.)
– If the 1.8 m, 2.4 m, or 2.5 m antenna is installed, the length of the pole needs to be not
less than 2.0 m.
– If the 3.0 m , 3.2 m, or 3.7 m antenna is installed, the length of the pole needs to be not
less than 2.7 m.
l If the wind speed is not faster than 30 m/s, the turning angle of the antenna cannot be more
than one-third of the half-power angle of the antenna.
l The arm length of the support needs to meet the requirements (the arm length needs to be
particularly considered if the 1+1 ODU is directly installed).

l The support can bear the weight of the antenna, ODU, and coupler.
NOTE

l The customer can purchase the support that complies with the relevant standard and is provided by Huawei,
or contact Huawei engineers to obtain the support drawing and purchase the support in the local market.
l The customer needs to determine the position of installing the antenna with Huawei engineers, and ensure
that sufficient space (a minimum of 400 mm x 350 mm) needs to be reserved on the rear side of the antenna.

3.3 Requirements for the Antenna


Generally, the antenna is delivered with the equipment. If the antenna is provided by the
customer, the antenna must meet certain requirements.

The self-provided antenna must use a flange interface (that is, the antenna can be installed in a
separate mounting mode). Table 3-1 lists the requirements for the interface.

3.4 Lightening Protection and Grounding Requirements


To prevent the communication equipment from being damaged by lightning strikes, the customer
needs to provide a lightning protection and ground system that meets the requirements.

The requirements for the outdoor ground system are as follows:

l The outdoor ground system needs to be designed with a uniform ground grid and needs to
be connected to the indoor ground system. The ground grid needs to comply with the local
lightning protection and grounding standard.
l The foot of the tower needs to be connected directly to the outdoor ground grid.
l The outdoor cable rack needs to be connected directly to the outdoor ground grid.
l The outdoor ground system can be connected to the outdoor ground bar or grid to function
as the ground point of the IF cable.
l The grounding resistance needs to be less than 10 ohms.

When you install an ODU on a tower, the requirements for the ground system are as follows:
l If the PGND cable of the ODU has a cross-sectional area of not less than 16 mm2, a ground
clip is used to connect the ODU to the tower.
l The ground cable of the IF cable needs to be a plastic insulated copper cable with a cross-
sectional area of not less than 6 mm2. A IF cable ground clip is used to connect the IF cable
at three positions, namely, the position one-meter below the ODU, the cable ladder in the
lower part of the tower, and the outdoor ground bar.
Figure 3-2 and Figure 3-3 show the ground connections of installing an ODU on a tower

When you install an ODU on a pole, the requirements for the ground system are as follows:
l The ODU ground cable needs to be a multiple-wire copper conductor cable that has a cross-
sectional area of not less than 16 mm2 and needs to be connected to the cable ladder in the
lower part of the pole. The ground point of the cable ladder needs to be grounded properly.
l The IF cable ground cable needs to be a plastic insulated copper cable with a cross-sectional
area of not less than 6 mm2 and needs to be grounded at two positions, namely, the lower
part of the pole and the outdoor ground bar of the telecommunications room.
l If the IF cable at the top of a building is horizontally laid for more than 20 meters, add a
ground point to the cable ladder in the middle of the IF cable.
Figure 3-4 and Figure 3-5 show the ground connections of installing an ODU on a pole.

3.5 Requirements for the Accessory Equipment


The customer needs to provide the outdoor cable rack, feeder window, and outdoor grounding
bar that meet the requirements.

Outdoor Cable Rack


The outdoor cable rack is used to route the IF cable from the tower foot to the telecommunications
room. The requirements for the outdoor cable rack are as follows:
l The outdoor cable rack includes the horizontal cable rack and the vertical cable rack, and
needs to be installed according to the design drawings.
l The outdoor cable rack is connected directly to the outdoor grounding grid in the steel bar
welding mode.

Feeder Window
The feeder window is used to pass the IF cable into the wall of the telecommunications room,
as shown in Figure 3-6. The requirements for the feeder window are as follows:
l The size of the feeder hole on the wall is designed according to the size of the purchased
feeder window.
l The feeder hole should be in a position of 100 mm higher than the position of the indoor
cable rack.

Outdoor Grounding Bar


The outdoor grounding bar functions as the grounding point of the IF cable. Figure 3-7 shows
the appearance of the outdoor grounding bar.
l The outdoor grounding bar is generally installed in a position below the outdoor feeder
window, hence functioning as the grounding point of the outdoor cables.
l The outdoor grounding bar needs to be connected to the outdoor grounding grid.

3.6 Outdoor Environment Requirements


The outdoor environment should meet the requirements for the operating environment of the
ODU.
The requirements for the operating environment of the ODU are as follows:

l Ambient temperature: -35oC to +55oC


l Relevant humidity: 15% to 100%
l Temperature change rate: ≤ 0.5oC/min
l Rain density: ≤ 6 mm/min
l Atmospheric pressure: 70 kPa to 106 kPa
l Sunshine radiation: ≤ 1120 W/m3
l Wind speed: ≤ 50 m/s

Generally, no extra measures need to be taken to ensure the operating environment of the ODU.
In special cases, certain measures such as installing a sunshade can be taken to ensure the
operating environment of the ODU.

and routing method of the cables should meet the relevant requirements.

4.1 Requirements for the Cable Materials


Generally, the power cables, PGND cables, and transmission cables are delivered with the
equipment. If the cables are provided by the customer, the cables should meet the requirements.
4.2 Requirements for Routing Cables
The cable routes and routing operations should be specified at the preparation stage of the
customer.

4.1 Requirements for the Cable Materials


Generally, the power cables, PGND cables, and transmission cables are delivered with the
equipment. If the cables are provided by the customer, the cables should meet the requirements.

NOTE

l When selecting an indoor cable, generally, consider the fire-resistant performance of the cable. If no high
requirements for weather resistance are proposed, use the sockets that are made from PVC materials.
l If high fire-resistant requirements are proposed for the cables, generally, use the insulation parts that are
made from fire-resistant PE or PVC materials, and use the sockets of the test cables that are made from PVC
materials.
l The materials of the insulation parts and sockets of the cables should meet the RoHS environmental
protection requirements.
l The cable materials should also meet the local regulations or the requirements of the customer.

4.2 Requirements for Routing Cables


The cable routes and routing operations should be specified at the preparation stage of the
customer.
l Different types of cables should be routed separately.
l Cabling routes and positions should be designed in advance. All the cables should be
arranged neatly.
l The bending part of a cable should be even and smooth. The minimum bending radius
should be more than 60 mm for the cable and should be more than 40 mm for the fiber. The
minimum bending radius of the IF cable should be more than 30 cm.
l The insulating layer of the conducting wire must not be damaged.
l The cables that are routed along the wiring frame must be bundled.
The cables should be bundled closely with appropriate force. The spacing between cable
ties should be even.
l The cables in the trough do not need to be bundled, but they should be placed tidily and
straight with no crossover. No cable overflows the trough. At the inlets, outlets, and turns
of the trough, the cables should be bundled with cable ties.
l The power cable and PGND cable cannot have any connectors or welding spots in the
middle, and cannot be connected to a switch or a fuse.
l If fiber jumpers are routed outside the cabinet, a corrugated pipe or a winding pipe must
be equipped.
l The excessive fiber jumpers should be coiled on a dedicated equipment, for example, a
fiber management tray. Proper force should be applied to winding a fiber. Bending a fiber
forcibly is not allowed to prevent the fiber from being broken.
l The two ends of a cable should be bundled and affixed with labels.

When the site is under preparation, the customer can work with Huawei engineers to fill in a
detailed report on the site. Then, Huawei can perform network planning correctly for the site
according to the report.

6.1 General Site Information Report


The general site information report contains the basic information about the site and radio link
required for network planning.
