To Unlock
1. Fully raise head, turn handle 180o to the right until index
is engaged.
2. Turn handle back through 90o until index is engaged and
handle is facing outward.
3. Head will now retract.
4. Remove container from vehicle. Type WCI 148 RNS Mk1
5. Turn handle 90o to left.

Operational Procedure
1. Engage the lower offset head into the top containers
corner fitting.
Designed and developed to connect military quadcons and tricons into a single 20’ unit. Also used for
connecting 2 x 10’ tank containers into single 20’ unit.
Operational Procedure
1. Index handle to one of the two load positions.
2. Insert Interconnector head into aperture of corner fitting.
3. Index handle to second load position.
4. Position second container so that the connector
protrudes through the corner fitting aperture.
5. Index handle to the lock position.

and trailer chassis. Special polymer pads reduce the metal-to-metal contact between the corner fitting

Design and Survey The Castings we supply shall be in accordance with the technical requirements of I.S.O. 1161, also the survey of
Lloyd’s Register of Shipping or Germanischer Lloyd, as undernoted.

Impact Properties The steel shall be of the kind which, with Charpy Vee Notch Tests taken upon separately prepared test bars, gives
minimum impact figures of 20.3 Joules at minimum of minus 40°c. If the Corner Castings are intended for service at
temperatures below minus 40°c, impact tests shall be carried out in accordance with the inspection authority. In such
cases the service temperature is to be specified on the purchase order for Corner fittings.

bei Temperaturen unter minus 40° Celsius in Betracht gezogen werden, so müssen die Stossfestigkeits-prüfungen
im Einklang mit der Aufsichtsbehorde ausgefOhrt werden. In solchen Fällen muss die Leistungs-temperatur im
Kaufauftrag für die Eckverbundstücke genau spezifiziert werden.
