tropical to sub-zero.

this twistlock offers the user the following important advantages:


• Simply fitted to the vehicle/chassis, usually by welding.
• Weldable cast steel body and forged steel stem to ensure rugged strength
and durability.
• Securing head retracts below deck level to allow the carriage of non
containerised loads.
• Head can be engaged with container in position, an advantage to swop-body
builders.
NB: not recommended for tipping applications. See WCI 149 NRS 3HTS.

Operational Procedure to Lock


Twistlock in retracted position with handle turned to left.
1. Turn handle back through 90o until index is engaged
and handle is facing outward.
2. Load container on to vehicle.
3. Fully raise head and turn handle 90o to the left until index
is engaged.

1. Fully raise head, turn handle 180o to the right until index
is engaged.
2. Turn handle back through 90o until index is engaged and
handle is facing outward.
3. Head will now retract.

The Cushion-Lok Twistlock has been designed to secure ISO and special containers to rigid vehicles
and trailer chassis. Special polymer pads reduce the metal-to-metal contact between the corner fitting
and twistlock, thereby reducing the shock and vibration together with noise.

This Twistlock offers the user the following important advantages:

Impact Properties The steel shall be of the kind which, with Charpy Vee Notch Tests taken upon separately prepared test bars, gives
minimum impact figures of 20.3 Joules at minimum of minus 40°c. If the Corner Castings are intended for service at
temperatures below minus 40°c, impact tests shall be carried out in accordance with the inspection authority. In such
cases the service temperature is to be specified on the purchase order for Corner fittings.

im Einklang mit der Aufsichtsbehorde ausgefOhrt werden. In solchen Fällen muss die Leistungs-temperatur im
Kaufauftrag für die Eckverbundstücke genau spezifiziert werden.
