Dialogue

Jeff : Hi, Kate. Do you have any plans for this summer?

Kate : Yes, Jeff! I'm going to have a lot of fun!

Jeff : I’m going on a big trip to my grandparents' house in Texas! Are you?

Kate : I can't afford to travel this year. But we'll still have fun!

Jeff : How can have any fun if you don't go on a trip?

Kate : Well, I'll be taking swimming lessons three days a week.

Jeff : That sounds like fun. What else will you be doing?

Kate : I signed up for a little league basketball team.

Jeff : How often are you going to play basketball?

Kate : We practice two days a week and the games are on Saturdays.

Jeff : So, is that all you’re doing?

Kate : No. On Thursday morning we will go to the public library.

Jeff : The library? How is that fun?

Kate : They have all kinds of crafts and a special book club.

Jeff : It sounds like you’re going to be plenty busy! (You must be very busy)

Kate : That doesn't even count(include) hanging out with friends at the park.

Jeff : Even though you aren’t taking a trip, you’ll be having fun!

Kate : If you just look around, there are many ways to keep busy. (stay busy)
