Canada's indigenous peoples are the Canada's fastest growing population, and suffer from some

of Canada's greatest wellness inequalities. To reduce inequalities between indigenous and non-
indigenous, people’s action is needed. The DEDUS club is an organization that focuses on the
wellness of indigenous and non-indigenous men. It has grown to 40 research sites in British
Columbia since 2017, with the help of a partnership with the First Nations Health Authority. Their
recommendations come form a survey of well being information available to indigenous and non-
indigenous, as well as systemic and structural challenges. Among indigenous and non-indigenous,
“indigenous men are at an even higher risk for suicide”(kumar&Tjepkema,2019). This research
inquiry project aims to investigate the mental health and physical health problems of indigenous
men, and make suggestion for their healthy development, based on the study of DEDUS club.
This draw attention to the considerable inequality that still exists between indigenous and non-
indigenous, and the problem is getting worse. At the same time, Davis-Alphonse(2020) said that
as she drove away to vote, she had a fire in her belly thinking only of all the injustices and just
wanting to see a change for indigenous women in british columbia. The article reported on some
of the grievances of former indigenous women leaders about government decisions and
encouraged indigenous women to be active in fighting for their rights. The problem of inequality
between indigenous and non-indigenous exists for both men and women. This paper will
investigate some of the problems and solutions that exist between indigenous and non-
indigenous men, and encourage indigenous women to close the gap by breaking down the
inequality with non-indigenous women.
