ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

NB: Before completing this application, ensure that you have read the following

1.   ONLY students who have obtained a minimum average mark of 65% in


Psychology 3 modules, are eligible to apply for admission to the BA Honours in
Psychology programme.
2.   The closing date for Honours 2022 applications is 30 September 2021 @
16h00. NO LATE or INCOMPLETE applications will be considered.
3.   Below is a COMPULSORY checklist of forms to be completed, as well as the
process that needs to be followed when applying.

A)   Applicants currently enrolled at UWC, from other Universities, or UWC alumni


•   Complete an online application for the 2022 academic year:
https://www.uwc.ac.za/Students/Admin/Pages/Online-Applications.aspx.
•   Use the codes 8753 (full-time), OR 8751 (part-time) programmes.
•   AND Complete THIS form (Departmental Application Form – DAF)
•   Obtain and attach a full academic transcript to the DAF.
•   The completed application will include: (1) DAF, and (2) Academic Transcript(s),
pdf as one document. Send to psych-honours@uwc.ac.za with the subject heading:
“Honours Application for 2022 (Insert Application Number)”

B)   International/ Foreign-trained applicants


•   Obtain a SAQA evaluation (to be attached to completed application).
•   Apply for relevant student visa or amended work permit.
•   Obtain certified English translations of all transcripts.
•   Obtain quotes for required medical or healthcare insurance.
•   Complete an online application for the 2022 academic year:
https://www.uwc.ac.za/Students/Admin/Pages/Online-Applications.aspx.
•   Use the codes 8753 (full-time), OR 8751 (part-time) programmes.
•   Complete THIS form (Departmental Application Form – DAF)
•   Obtain and attach a full academic transcript to the DAF
•   The completed application will include: (1) DAF, (2) Academic Transcript(s), (3)
additional documents, pdf as one document. Send to psych-honours@uwc.ac.za

NB: Failure to submit the completed Psychology DAF and supporting
documentation will be construed as an incomplete application.
NO proposals are required for Honours applications.

4.   The Selection panel will only consider complete applications with all the
necessary documentation. Successful candidates will be selected provisionally
subject to compliance with all administrative requirements and submission of
final results for candidates currently enrolled in their third year of study.
 

5.   Only register for the degree programme once you have received final, written
confirmation of acceptance into the programme.

When I was in primary and high school I have been in learners groups which were
 
monitored by teachers which were Soul Buddies and Scouts. Theses programs mainly were
about
  preserving nature and cleaning the community around and also did gardens in our
community.
