Hi Harly, thank you for your informative post regarding the recent quality

initiative of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, notably the redesign of the $100 note to

improve its security measures and lower the chance of counterfeiting. Redesigning the

$100 bill by the U.S. Department of the Treasury is an impressive quality project meant

to reduce the possibility of counterfeiting (Chen, 2023). It affects the U.S. dollar's value

and status as the world's reserve currency. This initiative shows the Department's

dedication to maintaining the value and credibility of U.S. currency at a time when

technological breakthroughs have increased the complexity of forger.

Redesign of the $100 Bill (Bacchetta et al., 2023). There has been a significant change in U.S.

currency recently, especially with the 2013 redesign of the $100 bill. It is admirable that different

security elements, including texturization, color variations, and multiple security strips, have

been added to the currency to increase its quality and security. The classmate should have

explained these new security features' specifications, though. A further examination of these

characteristics and their role in discouraging criminals might shed more light on the quality gain.

Future redesign possibilities, since the $100 note is now more resistant to counterfeiting than

ever, the $20 bill—which is supposedly the most counterfeited piece of U.S. currency—may see

alterations soon (DeVault, 2023). Although redesigning other currencies makes sense, it would

be interesting to know if the U.S. Department of the Treasury has made any public

announcements or plans in this area. It would also be helpful to comprehend how these changes

might impact customers and companies that regularly process these bills.

Global forgery concerns are crucial about the widespread forgery of US cash. They state that

fake US cash worth over $147 million is circulating worldwide. This issue must be resolved to

preserve the currency's value, safeguard consumers, and support the economy. Understanding

how the $100 bill's redesign and quality enhancement have affected the worldwide forgery issue

to assess this claim properly would be helpful.
