Congratulations, you have just been hired as community Liaison by Explorx Resource Group, a junior
mining company that was established to service Ontario’s “Ring of Fire” area.

There are five stages to mine development.

The Mining process always includes the use of dangerous chemicals that will be stored in evaporation
ponds as well as other forms of stockpiling. Mining also creates tremendous opportunities for economic
development.

Explorx needs you to create a community/stakeholder engagement plan.

Develop a plan for each stage of the mine’s development cycle.

Include all relevant stakeholders , their interests, their expected level of engagement, how you will
communicate with them, how you will track them, and the timeline required for each stakeholder.

Be careful to consider land ownership, potential health risks, distance from mine, and economic affect.

One page for each element in the development cycle should be approximately the correct amount of
work. There is a 7 pages of text maximum.

APA is required.
