    Hello, Good day everyone. I am Ms.

    Janila Garcia and I am here to discuss to you about the POWER


    OF CHOICE. Power came from the Greek word "Dunamis" which means the ability to control,
    having the authority, and have the ability to influence. While choice means selecting or making
    decision when face with possibilities. So how can I say choice is powerful? Yes! Choice is powerful
    ‘cause you can change your entire situation with just one choice.

    There was once story about three students named James, John, and Peter who grew up together
    became friends, and in their entire elementary days from grade 1 to 6 they ate together during lunch.
    Since they were elementary, James' lunch in everyday is egg, John's is pancit Canton, and Peter's is
    hotdog. When these three reach high school, still they are friends, and having lunch together every
    day.

    One day during their second month of being freshman in high school, while having lunch together,
    James tell his two friends that if his lunch on Monday is egg he will end up his life. Monday came ,
    and as James open his lunch box, he saw egg. In the evening, he ended his life. Tuesday, only John
    and Peter was in the table during lunch, John said "Peter, if my lunch on Monday is pancit Canton
    again, I will also end my life. Monday came, and as John open his lunch box, he saw pancit Canton .
    John ended his life. After John's burial, Peter was sitting alone having his lunch sadly. He said to
    himself "my two friends are gone, if my lunch also on Monday is hotdog I will also take my life.
    And guess what? Peter ended up killing himself like his two friends.

    In Peter's funeral , James and John's mother went to Peter's mother saying "I'm sorry for your loss, I
    wanna ask you if why you didn't stop your son from taking his life, haven't you learn from what
    happened to our son's? why you didn't change his lunch?" But Peter's mother said, "I don't want my
    son ended up like that, but I have no choice because he is the one who prepares his lunch every day.

    Look, Life is really a matter of choice. Choice is powerful thing. Choose your course, career, your
    future partner, and battle wisely. Your choice will either make you or destroy you. And remember
    that your choice today will determine your future.
