Talent Scholarship Requirements and how to apply
Qatar University offers this scholarship to undergraduate non-Qatari students (including international students)
who are talented in the fields of scientific research, technology and innovation, literature and art, media, and
athleticism. Applicants for this scholarship are selected on a competitive basis.

3. Applicant must meet the minimum admissions requirements of the program that he/she wishes to join.
4. Applicant must submit the final transcript of the 11th grade with a minimum average of 80%.
5. Applicant must submit the final transcript of the first semester of the 12th grade with a minimum average
of 80%.
6. Applicant must provide a minimum of two letters of recommendation to support the application from
prestigious entities relevant to the area of talent.
7. Applicant must submit a portfolio letter presenting his/her talent and proving the recent achievements in
the field of talent, specifically in one of the following areas: scientific research (includes all literary and
scientific fields), technology and innovation, literature, art (includes painting, sculpture, calligraphy and
similar arts), media, and athleticism.
9. Applicant cannot benefit from this scholarship and another scholarship simultaneously, except for
international students (terms and conditions apply).
10. Applicants who have previously granted the full benefits of this scholarship are not eligible to benefit from
it again for the purpose of acquiring a new academic degree.
11. The scholarship should be utilized starting from the semester in which the scholarship was awarded. For
international students, the start of the study can be postponed for one semester, if necessary, conditional
of approval of the scholarship committee. If the student does not pass his/her first semester, the
scholarship will be canceled and the student will be informed by QU email.

3. The student must regularly represent the university in the area of talent locally and internationally.
4. The student should not exceed the period for graduation according to his/her program.
5. The student must remain registered continuously (in Fall and Spring) until graduation.
6. The student must commit to the continuous practice and development of the talent.
7. Recipients of scholarship are expected to adhere to academic regulations, policies, and procedures of
Qatar University.
Required Documents:
1. Applicant must provide a minimum of two letters of recommendation to support the application from
prestigious entities relevant to the area of talent.
2. Applicant must submit a portfolio letter with a link to a video of large-size file supporting files (e.g. on
Dropbox or OneDrive) presenting his/her talent and proving the recent achievements in the field of talent,
specifically in one of the following areas: scientific research (includes all literary and scientific fields),
technology and innovation, literature, art (includes painting, sculpture, calligraphy and similar arts),
media, and athleticism.For athletic talent, the video must show the applicant playing within a team during
a match.
3. After passing the personal interview successfully, Applicants for the field of sport talent are required to
submit signed history and medical information form along with the physical examination form filled by a
health care provider (family doctor or general practitioner) and to pass a physical fitness examination at
Qatar University.
How to Apply
The applicant may apply to the talent scholarship through the online admission application on “Scholarship
Application” page during the announced application period. The applicant is requested to upload the required
and supporting documents presenting his/her talent and achievements.
1. Students apply for admission and for scholarship online using the online admission application during the
announced application period.
2. Students enrolled in schools outside Qatar or in private schools inside Qatar (non-governmental Qatari
school system) must upload the first semester certificate of grade twelve and the final certificate of grade
eleven. If the student completed grade twelve, he/she must submit only the final certificate of grade
twelve.
3. Applicant must upload a minimum of two recommendation letters through the online admission
application from recognized entities relevant to the area of talent to support the application.
4. Applicant must submit a letter summarizing his/her talent, achievements, and awards received with a link
to large-size files including videos and any other supporting documents (e.g. on Dropbox or OneDrive) to
highlight his/her talent and to show the recent achievements in one field of the following talents: scientific
research (includes all art and scientific fields), technology, innovation, literature, art (includes painting,
sculpture, calligraphy, and similar arts), media, and sports.
5. The applicants' files will be evaluated and interviews will be conducted to assess the eligibility and
qualifications of the applicant. The best applicants for each talent field will be short listed.
6. An initial conditional acceptance letter will be sent to the nominated students, within six weeks after the
deadline of the online scholarship application, stating the conditions that must be met and the documents
required to receive the final acceptance.
7. For international students, after they send the required documents, the university will apply for their visas
and they will be notified accordingly.
8. The final admission and scholarship decisions will be sent to students by email according to the
announced timeline.
Non-Competitive Scholarships
GCC Qatari Certificate Scholarships
Qatar University offers a number of scholarships for students who want to join the diploma programs offered
by the College of Education.
Benefits
1. The applicant must meet the admission requirements for the college
that they applied to.
3. It should be the first time for the applicant to apply for a scholarship in the same category offered by the
College of Education.
1. The student must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 out of 4 at the end of each semester.
2. The duration of studying shouldn't exceed two semesters excluding the semesters of absence and
withdrawal.
3. The student should not be absent or withdraw for two separated or consecutive semesters.
4. If the student fails in meeting any of the conditions to maintain the scholarship, it will be canceled and the
student will have to pay the tuition fees of the following semesters.
5. After the student's scholarship has been canceled, he/she will not be eligible to receive that scholarship
again, regardless of whether the situation is amended. In all cases, the academic policies will be applied
to the student as shown in the Student Catalog.
Required Documents:
1. "To whom it may concern" Letter for the new academic year proofing that the applicant is working under
the ministry of education and higher education or any governmental educational organization.
