Today I would like to speak on a statement that you have made that I

do not necessarily agree on and I would like to give some points on why I

disagree. The statement I will be talking about is that “Chipotle is overrated

and not good.” Now I understand that everyone has the right to their own

opinions but I would like to explain why it is not overrated.

To begin I would like to state the fact that Chipotle is actually a

healthy place to get food quickly. When you think of fast food you think of

McDonalds, Wendys, Taco Bell, etc. Chipotle, however, is considered to be

“fast casual”. Whenever I go to Chipotle the business usually does not take

that long. Sometimes it can be even faster than McDonalds. I think that that

is an interesting point because the food you get at a McDonalds takes

longer yet it has so much artificial flavoring, greasy or has many other

things that are not good for you at all. Now when you think about Chipotle

the cooking process is completely different. You can see them cooking the

food and you can tell they put real effort into making the food quick and

good for you. Not only that but you get to put the whole thing together. You

get to decide exactly what you want that day. And they offer so many

varieties. They have different types of meat, beans, rice, salsas and many
types of toppings like cheese, sour cream, lettuce and so much more. Most

fast food places don’t give you that opportunity. I think it is important to be

able to be in complete control of what you eat. You never know what is

actually going into your food in a Taco Bell. Chipotle prides itself on its

commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. A look at their

sourcing practices shows that they prioritize responsibly raised meats,

locally sourced produce, and non-GMO ingredients. This dedication to food

quality sets them apart from many of their fast-food competitors, ensuring

that their offerings are both delicious and ethically sourced. Finally,

Chipotle has been a pioneer in promoting sustainable and environmentally

responsible practices in the fast-food industry. They have made strides in

reducing their carbon footprint and waste generation, which is an important

aspect for those who prioritize eco-conscious dining choices. Resources

such as articles from The Washington Post on Chipotle's food sourcing or

their official website's sustainability report can serve as evidence to

support these points and refute the opinion that Chipotle is overrated and

not very good. Another aspect that I think is important to consider is that

you have to work on communication skills. Now to some that might seem

scary but at the end of the day it is a good thing. I think it is good to step

out of your comfort zone and be able to talk to those serving you and be
capable of telling them what you want to eat. I had a friend who used to be

petrified to go to Chipotle because she knew she had to talk to someone

and tell them exactly what she wanted. That all changed when I went with

her and I showed her that it isn’t that bad and that they are usually very

nice people. She has loved Chipotle ever since.

Some may argue that 10 dollars for a bowl seems a little extreme.

Which I will give you. McDonalds and Taco Bell are probably much cheaper

but I will tell you this. You are getting your money's worth! In my opinion I

would rather spend a few extra dollars if it means I am going to get food

that is actually good for me, with protein and greens and so much more.

Not only that but most of the time a Chipotle bowl can usually cover 2

meals! (Unless you’re really hungry, which in that case go at it!) It is a

reheatable meal that still can taste good later on.

You made a statement that Chipotle is overrated but I think it is very

fairly rated. People like it for a reason. Don’t get me wrong, if that is not

your type of food that is ok! Not everyone has to like the food but that does

not make the food bad.
