2K + 2 H2O -> 2KOH + H2

This is an example of Single Displacement Reaction. This reaction occurs when one element in a
compound is replaced by another element. As you can see, there are two reactants in this reaction:
potassium (K) and water (H2O). There are two products in this reaction: a colorless solid compound
named potassium hydroxide (KOH) and hydrogen gas (H2). In this Single Displacement Reaction,
potassium (K) displaces OH from water (H2O) to form potassium hydroxide (KOH) and hydrogen gas
(H2). In real life, there are some example about Single Displacement Reaction such as producing copper
from copper sulfate, making steel or tale salt. It chemical reaction is 2K + 2 H2O -> 2KOH + H2. Thanks
