 Solidary obligation
◾ Solidary obligation or one where each one of the debtors is bound to
render, and /or each one of the creditors has a right to demand from
any of the debtors, entire compliance with the prestation.(Art.1207)
Enforcement of solidary obligations
◾ Involves the legal mechanism by which the creditor can demand
payment or performance from the debtors who are jointly and
severally liable
 Joint obligations
◾ Joint obligation or one where the whole obligation is to be paid or
fulfilled proportioned by the different debtors and / or is to be
demanded proportionately by the different creditors.(Arr. 1208)
 “Disjunctive”
◾ Refers to a situation where parties have separate and independent
obligation
