STORY PROPHET IDRIS(ENOCH)

Prophet Idris was born during the lifetime of Prophet Adam and ruled the progeny of Adam following

the death of Sheath. He was a truthful, patient and extraordinary individual who introduced the art

of reading and writing to mankind. Idris was a devout Muslim who was appointed by Allah as a

Prophet and Messenger to govern over Adam's descendants. After Sheath's death, Cain's people lost

direction, and immorality and corruption grew, prompting Idris to call for Jihad (holy war) against

Qabil's corrupt followers (Cain). He was the first Prophet and Messenger in Islamic history to wage

Jihad against corruption. And, as Allah had directed, Idris assembled an army of soldiers and fought

in the cause of Allah against the transgressors, emerging triumphant. Prophet Idris was informed by

Allah that he would receive the rewards of all the good deeds performed by man each day till his last

breath. He decided to speak to the Angel of death and plead him to delay his death. The Companion
Angel agreed and flew to the fourth heaven with Prophet Idris on his wings. Idris's companion asked

the Angel of death if he could prolong his life and the Angel replied, "How astonishing! I was sent and

told to cease Idris's soul in the fourth heaven when he was on earth. Subhan Allah (glory be to God),

He made it happen!" Following the death of Prophet Idris, corruption began to increase rapidly again

and Satan finally managed to influence the children of Adam to commit their first act of shirk
