FOR CO-ORGANIZING THE MOH-LED DIGITAL HEALTH CONVERGENCE WORKSHOP IN
JAKARTA, INCLUDING AEHIN SIDE-MEETINGS ON JANUARY 23-25, 2023

Dear Mr. Setiaji, ST, MSi, ,

We at the Asia eHealth Information Network (AeHIN) promote better use of information communication
technology (ICT) to achieve better health through peer-to-peer assistance and knowledge sharing and
learning through a regional approach for greater country-level impacts across South and Southeast Asia.

In line with our strategy to enhance leadership and governance for digital health, we would like to
request to partner with the Digital Transformation Office for co-organizing the Ministry of Health
(MoH)-led digital health convergence workshop, including AeHIN side-meetings in Jakarta on
January 23-25, 2023. Digital health convergence workshops are part of AeHIN’s capacity-building efforts
for digital health practitioners in the region. These aim to establish MoH’s role as the owner of the national
eHealth programme. This workshop is usually guided by AeHIN’s Mind the GAPS (Governance,
Architecture, People & Program Management, Standards & Interoperability) Framework, which
summarizes the main areas that countries can work on in order to efficiently and effectively carry out their
digital health plans.

In addition, AeHIN would also like to conduct side-meetings on planning the 2023 AeHIN General Meeting
co-hosted by Indonesia and on planning the strategic activities of AeHIN for 2023.

The proposed schedule is as follows:

1. Main Activity: Indonesia Convergence Workshop (January 23, 2023)

In the proposed digital health convergence workshop in Indonesia, AeHIN would like to support
any prioritized agenda of the newly revitalized eHealth technical working group in Indonesia.

2. Side-Meeting: Planning of AeHIN 2023 General Meeting co-hosted with Indonesia (January
24, 2023)
Meeting between AeHIN leadership and key stakeholders in Indonesia for a formal introduction
and discussion on mutual expectations towards organizing the next general meeting to be
co-hosted with Indonesia. The output will be a preliminary agenda for the 2023 AeHIN General
Meeting, including plans for logistics.

2. Side-Meeting: AeHIN Strategic Planning (January 25, 2023) - Internal to AeHIN only
The AeHIN strategic planning will convene the members of the governing committee and
secretariat team to revisit its existing strategic plan and to update the overall vision, goals, and
priorities of AeHIN. The output will be a pragmatic action plan for 2023 grounded on the (1) digital
health country priorities and (2) scope of committed development partner support articulated by
participants in the recent AeHIN General Meeting.

We would also like to inform you that AeHIN will cover the travel and hotel accommodation expenses of
its international team. We hope that the MoH Indonesia can support the expenses of its local guests and
participants to the convergence workshop and general meeting planning for January 23-24, 2023.
