Admission Process at Glance

1. Create Username (Email- ID is Username).

2. Create Password: MUST contain at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one
lowercase letter, one number, one special characters (!$%&**-:;<+>?.

3. After Registration fill the Personal and Programmes details.

4. After completing your application form, upload clear colored scanned documents.

5. After documents upload, you need to pay processing fee.

6. After processing fee payment, your application is forwarded to the KSOU verification
department.

7. After verification you will get email confirmation for the further admission process.

8. After successful admission, students will be able to login to the LMS Application
using their mobile number provided during admission.

Documents to be uploaded
1. Upload 10th or equivalent Marks card.

2. Upload 12th or equivalent Marks card.

3. Upload final year Class declared Marks card and Convocation certification (for PG
Programmes).

4. Upload Adhar Card for Indian national and Passport for foreign nationals.

Eligibility:

Candidates who have passed the Two Year Pre-University examination conducted by the Pre-
University Education Board in Karnataka State;

or

Any other examination considered as equivalent there to;

or

Candidates from other states who have successfully completed 12 years of schooling (either
10+2 or 11+1 or Higher Secondary Examination-12 Years of Schooling) excluding Nursery
Education.

Pre University Examination in Vocational Courses conducted by the Department of


Vocational Education, Government of Karnataka.

Medium of Instruction:
Medium of instruction followed for B.A., Degree Course is either in Kannada or English. The
study material will be available both in Kannada and English language. Students can answer
examination either in Kannada or in English.

Cognate subjects

Level-2

a. Candidates who have passed Three Years B.A./ B.Sc./ B.A. (performing Arts) Degree
Examination of any recognized University offering Kannada as a Major/optional subject at
the Degree level or an examination of any University considered equivalent thereto.

b. Candidates who have qualified the “Kannada Pandit” Examination conducted by the
Government of Karnataka.

c. Graduates who have qualified “Kannada Ratna” examination conducted by the Kannada
Sahitya Parishath, Bengaluru.

Level-1:

Candidates who have obtained Bachelor’s Degree of Three years duration without studying

offering English as Second Language or as a Minor subject at the Degree level are also
eligible, provided they have obtained not less than 50 percent of the maximum marks in the

b. Candidates who have qualified the four years B.A, .B.Ed. degree examination of the
University of Mysore (Regional College Scheme) with English as major/optional.

c. Candidates who have qualified four Years B.Ed. or B.Sc. Ed. of the University of Mysore
(Regional College scheme), provided they have obtained not less than 50 percent of marks in
Language English.

d. Graduates of any University who have qualified Post-Graduate Diploma in English

4. Evaluation of the Project Report:


a. Project Report: The Project Report carries 150 marks (maximum). As a result,
students must pay greater attention not only to the preparation of project but also on

b. Viva-Voce Examination:
 Every student is required to come in person to the Viva-Voce examination on
the day and at the time as scheduled or announced by the university.
 The viva-voce examination will be conducted by the duly appointed Board of
Examiner’s in the notified centres of the university.
 The Viva-Voce Examination also carries 50 marks (maximum).
 The timely submission of the project report is a pre-requisite for attending the
Viva-Voce examination.
