SUBJECT : ADVISORY LETTER TO BARANGAY AND SK

CANDIDATES TO SUBMIT STATEMENT OF
CONTRIBUTIONS AND EXPENDITURES (SOCE)
DATE : August 26, 2023

Attached hereto is a template advisory letter for candidate to submit SOCE in

connection with the October 30, 2023 Barangay and SK Elections.

It must be stressed that it “shall be the duty of every city or municipal election
(officer) to advise in writing, by personal delivery or registered mail, within five (5) days
from the date of election all candidates residing in his jurisdiction to comply with their
obligation to file their statements of contributions and expenditures 1 ”. The mandatory
character of this duty need not be further elucidated as this may connote
administrative case that may be filed against our personnel should there be
complaint against them.

It is of fervent request that the matter be cascaded respectively to the different

Offices of the Election Officer within your area of responsibility.
