The use of Motorised Vehicles in Public Parks Act 2023

An Act to make provision about the use of motorised vehicles in


public parks, including provision for remedies should such rule be
breached

1. The definition of a motorised vehicle is subject to s. 1(1), s.


1(2) and s. 1(3).
Any mechanically and sell-propelled machinery constructed for the
purpose of transporting people or goods, usually via land

2. A public park can be defined by the following s.2(1) and s.2 2):
1 Areas of land open to the public that are managed by local or
national governments, or private organizations.
2 Public parks can be of any size and configuration, but share a
common purpose of local benefit for users from the general public

3 The definition of anti-social behaviour can be determined by the


following s.3(1):
(1) Behaviour by an individual or group which causes, or is likely to
cause, danger, harassment, alarm or distress to people not of the
same household as those in question
4. The penalty for such breach is at the discretion of the local or
national government but includes the following s.4(1), s.4(2) and
s.4(3):
(1)Fixed penalty of £100 to be paid to whoever manages the public
park within 2 weeks of prosecution
1 (a) Failure to comply may lead to further penalties in the court
to law including driving license points, an increased fine or
confiscation of the vehicle in arrestation
2 Community service
3 Undertaking an Awareness Course on the dangers of using a
motorised vehicle in a public park

Failure to comply with the enforcements in place may lead to a
potential sentence at the discretion of the courts
