extraction of nerve sheath tumor.

HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS: This patient is a 27-year-old male who was

admitted for a lumber spine fusion performed by me.

COURSE IN HOSPITAL: This patient was admitted for lumber spine surgery. This was
an L3, L4, and L5 fusion and fixation. The patient had an uncomplicated immediate
intra-operative and post-operative recovery. The patient had some issues with residual
leg pain and instability, and a short course of Decadron was given with good results.
The patient was on an obesity protocol during the surgery.

DISCHARGE PLAN: He was discharged today and will be seen by his family doctor in two
weeks. He will see me in six weeks time.
