Introduction

Sir Alastir Cook was one of the best test cricket players ever where, even in his last test
match against India in his first and second innings he hit 71 and 147 runs!

Sir Alastir Nathan Cook was born on 25 of December 1984 in Gloucester,


Gloucestershire, United Kingdom. He made his first Debut test in 2006 against India
and his ODI debut in 2006 against Sri lanka. At the age of 26.

Career

In his First ODI against Sri Lanka Sir Alastair Cook hit 34 (84) and in his first test
against India he hit 104* in his Debut test in Nagpur India, he in total hit 33 centuries
and 54 fifties and 2 double centuries in his test career and in ODI he hit 5 centuries and
19 halve centuries, he played 161 tests and 92 ODI’s , his batting average was 45.35 in
test and had hitten 12,472 runs, his best score in test score was 294 vs India, he is also
was the youngest player to hit 12,000 runs in test history, he also captained the England
team for 69 ODI’s and 59 tests.

World records
He hit the 6th most test career runs and capped the most matches for England, he is also
hitted the most centuries for England, he has also won the most ashes games against
Australia as captain ( highest score in ashes is 294 ) and he is the youngest player to hit
7000.

Conclusion

Sir Alastair Cook has been a crucial player for the england team for 12 years and led
them to victory many times, he has been an amazing player and has become one of the
best youngest player to hit many runs in there career right next to Sachin Tendulkhar
the little Master.
