In Step 3, you are expected to research the various industries related to sport, recreation & fitness and
list, IN ORDER (based on your results NOT preference), the TOP 3 industries which most suits your VIA
Strengths results. Be specific. Don’t simply state ‘sport’. Instead, say pro sport or amateur sport or
collegiate sport.

 The purpose of this activity is to analyze some real positions in the SRM world to see what is
currently available and to learn how your talents and strengths may fit that role.
 Explore and collect three (3) job descriptions that interest you…either from a company,
professional organization website or a job board (i.e., Workopolis or Monster).
 These descriptions should be fairly detailed in order to show the outcomes and responsibilities
of the position.
In doing so, I expect you to create a PROFESSIONALLY written and structured cover letter, fully
addressed to the hiring manager, which addresses WHY you are the correct candidate for the job.
(research how to write a cover letter)

description you are using. Then, answer the question below for ONE job.
