I'm Subham Rathee, a 35-year-old man who has been working at Jaldiram Foods Private Ltd.

for the past seven years. I have always had a love for sweet and confectionery items, and as a
quality control manager at the company, I was required to taste and evaluate various
products.
Unfortunately, my love for sugary snacks and desserts turned into an addiction over time. I
found myself consuming large quantities of these treats throughout the day, and my health
began to suffer. I experienced frequent urination and fatigue, but I attributed these symptoms
to my busy work schedule and stress.
Eventually, my symptoms worsened, and I knew I had to seek medical advice. I visited a
doctor, who conducted several tests and informed me that my addiction had transformed into
a serious ailment known as diabetes mellitus. The disease had already caused damage to my
kidneys, and the doctor recommended a kidney transplant as the only way to prevent further
damage to my organs and improve my condition.
Desperate to regain my health, I went ahead with the costly surgery, which required me to
take time off work. However, despite the transplant, my disease was not cured. I continued to
experience complications such as nerve damage, vision loss, and poor circulation.
I felt betrayed and misled by the medical practitioners who advised me to undergo the
surgery, and I decided to take legal action against them. I demanded compensation of rupees
10,00,000 for the pain and suffering that I had endured, as well as the financial loss I had
suffered due to the medical expenses and loss of income.
It's devastating that my love for sweet foods had resulted in such a severe illness and cost me
my health, job, and financial stability. I hope that my story serves as a warning to others who
may be struggling with similar addictions and encourages them to seek help before it's too
late.
