What is the primary function?

✤ The international Court of justice is the main judicial body of the United
Nations Organization.The Court performs a double mission the settlement
in accordance with international law of disputes brought to it by the organs
or agencies of the United Nations system that are authorized to do so
Where is located?

✤ It is based in the Peace Palace in The Hague (Netherlands)

✤ The creation of the Court of Justice marked the culminating point of the evolution
of methods for the peaceful settlement of international disputes.The origins of
these processes are more than two thousand years old

✤ The Court of justice it was founded in 16 of December of 1920 by the Charter of the
United Nations and began operating in 1946

✤ Mexico v. United States of America, formally Avena and other Mexican nationals,
better known as the Avena Case ,was a case before the international Court of
justice, Judicial body of the United Nations. It was decided on March 31 2004

✤ The latest project of the Court of justice was the corfu canal incident refers
to three separate incidents involving Royal Navy ships in the Corfu Straits,
which took place in 1946,and are considered among the earliest episodes of
the Cold War During the first incident,Royal Navy ships were attacked
from Albanian fortications in the second incident British ships collided with
naval mines, and in the third incident the royal navy carried out the
removal mines from the Corfu Channel, but in Albanian territorial waters
and Albania complained to the United Nations
