Drama – Reflection of the class 27/8/23

In this class, we were in a group and chose a plot like an airport, bus station, etc. Our group chose
the airport then we tried to make the scenario of that we are in the airport by making various types
of sounds like the sound of the plane, trolly, etc (the things that are in the airport) and then we
performed the sound of the things that are in the airport than the other people closed their eyes for
which they can hear the sound and then they can imagine the scenario in their head so they could
know that they are in the airport this activity followed the aspects of radio drama.

Please Answer the following Questions:

1. What are the aesthetic tools used to make sounds
2. What time and space is been heard/understood from those sounds?
3. How many sounds were made in the first 10 minutes?
4. How many sounds can you re-create?

Ans 1:
 A microphone. A microphone is necessary to capture and record voices,
music, sound effects, and other sounds that match with the scenario of the
sound that goes with the scene they are trying to make.
 An audio console for getting the right mixture of sound.
 Software for playout.
 Studio monitor speakers
 Headphones.
 Computer.

Ans 2: The time and the space that was understood in the radio drama of Alice in the
Wonder Land were that it sounded like Alice was being teleported to a different place
like a magical place for example there was the sound of magic going on and then
she was teleported to a different place that was the part when she was teleported in
the Wonder Land and that was the space and time were understood from the main
plot of the radio drama.

Ans 3: The sounds that were in the first ten minutes of the radio drama were the
magical sounds that we could hear during certain movies. The magical sound was
played and then through the help of the sound the audience could imagine that
magical sound after that sound then Alice was teleported to a different magical land
by chasing the walking rabbit and then over there she had a lot of adventure like
then she went to the land where she found some magical mushrooms then a strange
invisible purple cat etc.
Ans 4: The sounds that I can recreate was like the magical teleportation of Alice
because that was the only sound that I had the most attraction when heard it. I can
re-create the sound by using some metal tools that are sonorous like some twinkling
metals that create some twinkly sound when they are being hit and then use more
objects that make a sound which are close to the magical sound of Alice being
teleported.
