IRAN & IRAQ WAR

Good Morning Everyone, My name is Arnav Vipin and today

I will be presenting and talking about the Iran And Iraqi War.
We have learnt this in our previous classes. So, this might be
easy for you guys to understand this. Now I will be
showcasing a short summary about the war.

After seeing this video, I will be talking about some key

points.

1. First- The Location- The war is mainly based in the border

of Iran and Iraq.
2. Second, The Years- The war lasted from 1980 to 1988.
3. Third- The People Involved- The people involved were of
course Saddam Hussain, Ayatollah Khomeni, Iran And Iraq
Army And United Nations At The End.

4. The Reason For War. There are actually 2 reasons for it.
The first reason is about the Shatt Al Arab Waterway. Iraq
wanted to control the waterway because of the country’s
transportation of goods and because of the humid climate in
Iraq especially for the agriculture in the summer.

The second reason is the Iran Revolution. The revolution had

really affected him because Iran wanted countries like Iraq to
become an Islamic Republic and had a chance of being
overthrown. So on 22 September 1980 he did surprise attack
Iran.

5. Now Last But Not Least, Consequences, There more than 1

million deaths, both countries still had unchanged borders and
because of the chemical weapon used, there were destruction
everywhere
