LANGUAGE Various dialects of Lithuanian exist, such as High

Lithuanian (Aukštaitian) and Low Lithuanian (Samogitian).[6]

Literature in the Lithuanian alphabet was forbidden from
publication.
Lithuanian names are often linked to nature Rūta (rue-flower),
Eglė (fin-tree), Aušra (dawn), Gintaras (amber)
Martynas Mažvydas is the author of the first Lithuanian book
FOLK SONGS
Folk songs were performed either in groups or alone, and in
parallel chords or unison.
In times of old, these songs were thought to be sacred and
magical, and they were typically sung by women.
SPORT
Among the most popular sports in Lithuania are basketball,
football, athletics, and cycling.
It is frequently referred to in press and conversations as the
“Second religion of Lithuania”
Cinema and theatre
A popular Lithuanian film classic is Velnio Nuotaka, which is
based upon folk tales.
A major theater in Lithuania is the Lithuanian National Drama
Theater.
Dress
One aspect of Lithuanian clothing is the woven sash, made of
brightly colored yarns in various patterns.
NATIONAL DICH
Traditional Lithuanian food is based on local and seasonal
ingredients. Traditional dishes often require long cooking times.
Potatoes, pork, mushrooms, beets, and cabbage feature heavily
in its typical dishes
Locally caught smoked fish is widely found in Nida and along
the Curonian Spit.
