Additional admission criteria

Please note, the course requirements outlined below (‡, ◊, **, ^, ∆, Ф, ×, ~) are in addition to the admission criteria

‡ Course requirements
Must have completed HSC English (Advanced) or IB equivalent.

◊ Course requirements
Must have completed:
(a) HSC Mathematics with achievement of at least a Band 4;
(b) HSC Mathematics Extension 1 or 2 with achievement of Band E3;
(c) IB Mathematics SL with achievement of SL5; or
(d) IB mathematics HL with achievement of HL4.

HSC Mathematics Standard (General Mathematics) is not accepted.

** Course requirements
Must achieve three (3) Band 5 results in the HSC or equivalent IB scores, one of which MUST be in Standard English
OR Advanced English (not English as a Second Language).

+ Course requirements
Applicants to all undergraduate education degrees (except Early Childhood) will be required to complete a brief

^ Course requirements
Must have completed:
(a) HSC Mathematics Standard (General Mathematics) or
(b) HSC Mathematics or
(c) HSC Mathematics Extension 1 or 2 or
(d) IB Maths Studies SL or
(e) IB Mathematics SL/HL or
(f) IB Further Mathematics HL.

∆ Course requirements
Must have completed ONE of the following:
HSC Mathematics 2 unit, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Senior Science, Society and Culture.

Ф Course requirements
Must have completed:
(i) HSC Biology or IB Biology SL/HL
(ii) HSC Chemistry or IB Chemistry SL/HL and
(iii) any one of the following:
(a) HSC Mathematics at Band 4 or
(b) HSC Mathematics Extension 1 or 2 at Band E3 or
(c) IB Mathematics SL at SL5 or
(d) IB Mathematics HL at HL4.

HSC Mathematics Standard (General Mathematics) is not accepted.

Students will also be required to complete a Commitment to Veterinary Science form and scan the completed form
to admission.pathways@sydney.edu.au before close of business on 2 September 2019.
