PERSONALIZED NUTRITION

Personalized nutrition is a new trend in which technology is used to examine and figure

out various variables that may affect our diet and metabolic profile. According to News-Medical

(2022), it is based on the idea that one size does not fit all because we are all unique individuals

with distinct metabolisms, genes, biochemistry, and so on. That is why personalized nutrition

was created to take all of these variables into account based on our individual lifestyle, body,

weight, height, and eating patterns. Personalized nutrition can assist people in maintaining a

long-term diet that provides long-term advantages for their health. Patients or client's can be

guided in accordance with a nutrition plan that takes in consideration their current bodyweight,

body fat percentage, resting metabolic rate, and the baseline total of calories needed each day

(Michelle, 2022). Furthermore, as consumers become more conscious of their health, they are

more willing to purchase these tests in order to improve their diet and enjoy their lifestyle

without feeling restricted. There have been a few studies that show that personalized nutrition

improves diets more than generalized advice, but keep in mind that these tests are not used to

diagnose or treat diseases; rather, they are used to help people correct or maintain a healthy

lifestyle. Before starting any diet, it is still best to consult with a qualified professional to assess

our nutritional needs and have our bodies examined.
