PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

1. Apply mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals to engineering.


2. Solve basic engineering problems using first principles of mathematics and engineering sciences.
3. Design, assemblies, products and systems for domestic, commercial and industrial applications.
4. Investigate engineering problems including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and
synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
5. Select appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering tools, including prediction and modelling, to
complex engineering activities/problems, with an understanding of the limitations.
6. Identify societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering
practice.
7. Have appraising professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.
8. Relate the impact of engineering solutions in a societal context and demonstrating knowledge of and need for

limitations.

COURSE PREREQUISITES:
The student is expected to have basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
A course on ‘Technical English’ in the field of technical education will train the students to speak and write
better English and face the corporate world with confidence. The sessions- on technical communication, transcoding,
writing strategies, technical presentation skills, and practice- will develop the spoken and written skills of the target
audience to stand out at the forefront of their field of operation. At the end of the course, the students will have
better communication skills in their professional life. The assessment will be continuous and comprehensive with
assignments, quizzes, and term papers.
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
The objective of the course is to familiarize the learners with the concepts of Technical English and attain
Skill Development through the Experiential Learning technique.
