hi Melisa
how are you? I hope you're well. I am writing to tell you that last month I took a wonderful trip to Cusco.
I arrived in the city at 12 noon, settled in a hotel and began my adventure, that same day I took a tour of the
city visiting the central square, Sacsaywaman, where the "intiraymi" (festival of the sun) takes place.
Pucapucara and Quenco was truly incredible.
On the second day we took the tour called "Sacred Valley", first we visited the town of
Chinchero, center of
Textile Art, then we went to the archaeological center of
Chinchero, continuing through the archaeological center of Moray,
town of Maras, where there are Salt Mines and finally Ollantaytambo which is a beautiful Inca citadel where we
had to climb more than 100 steps, it was really exhausting but at the same time gratifying.
On the third day we visited the mountain of 7 colors where we had to walk for 1 hour and a half, the mountain
is located in the Vilcanota Mountain Range at 5,200 meters above sea level, in the district of Pitumarca, the
truth is that it takes a lot of effort to climb and go down, since it is cold and of course you are out of breath,
but when you reach the summit everything is forgotten and you can enjoy the view.
On the last day we visited some museums where we saw Inca paintings and ceramics, and we also visited
Qoricancha, we went up to the bell ringing and learned more about the Inca culture, finally we returned to
Lima a little late because it started to rain and the plane couldn't take off, but We finally returned home safely.
It really was a wonderful and wonderful trip. Of course I would recommend traveling to Cusco. Without
anything else to say, I say goodbye to you and I hope you write to me soon.
Best wishes, Enzo.
