Musa Mohammed whose dedication and commitment served as a morale booster to
me, my God reward him here and thereafter. I seize this opportunity to express my

ABSTRACT

Bank of industry as the oldest financial institution in Nigeria has been a flag
bearer in the provision of short and long-term financial support to various
industries of the Nigerian economy. The study used a survey research design with
both qualitative and quantitative methods. Both primary and secondary methods
were used to collected data to analyze the data collected. The seek the efficiency of
the bank of industry in financing Small and Medium Enterprises in Nigeria for
growth and development in the industries sector of the economy. The study
recommends that government should pursue with vigor, the total deregulation of
the financial seek and fine its monetary policies so as reduce the rate of interest
charge by banks as well as bring about a more realistic exchange rate for naira.
